    Portable reloading bench

Does anyone have plans for a portable reloading bench? I am living in an RV for the next 4 months and I brought my rock chuck with me to play with some loads. I just want to build something small that I can move in and out of the camper.

No plans, but I have used a Black and Decker Workmate with a bunch of sandbags over the lower stays along with pegs to keep it stable. It works pretty well with the Dillon presses.

I have a friend who has all of his hand loading equipment in a small cabinet on rollers. The top of the cabinet is a thick square of wood (chunk of counter top) that he has bolted his press to. He wheels it out when he wants to load and wheels it into a closet when he's done.

I was gonna suggest the Lee as well. as a press stand they about got it nailed with that one. Shit, for the price you could buy 2, or just add a small folding table to put shit on and just use the tripod for the press.

it's gonna be hard to beat the stability and wieght of the 3 legged lee stand.

Sinclair International has a wooden press stand that your clamp to the table or bench. They make reloading gear for benchresters that load at the range so it might work for you. Can't get to the site from this computer but I'll check back in later tonight if no one else posts it.

I too was going to mention the Lee..... mine was handy as hell. I used it in my camper at Benning. I used to set it next to my kitchen table, where all the goodies were handy, and load away. I would load in stages over a couple of days.

Another friend at Benning, who was a cheap bastard, mounted his press to the picnic table next to his camper. That worked too. :duh:

I use 2 of these for my Dillon and Lee presses. It has extra work area that I also can use other stuff like Dillon swager, case trimmers, etc. Allows me to move stuff around and store as needed. The price was right too.

You could probably make something just like this for cheaper but it's a nice product nonetheless.
