    Tri-lug 9mm/hybrid suppressor for APC-9

Hey y'all. After much deliberation, I just bought a B&T APC-9 pistol with the SB Tactical HK "brace." I've never owned any HK guns, so I'm not familiar with the whole tri-lug idea. Any suggestions for a decent 9mm suppressor with a good tri-lug adapter system for this type of sub gun? Thanks!

Can't really go wrong with suppressors these days. Check out Silencershop.com or a local Class 3 dealer. Silencershop has a really neat kiosk to process all the paperwork, fingerprints, notifications etc.

I use a Griffin Revolution can with a tri lug adapter on my Scorpion. It works great. Just remember to keep an eye on the adapter spring tension and change the spring if it slackens off. Otherwise its a great method to attach a can.

Second on watching the adapter. Mine got gunked up enough that the spring would stay compressed causing a loose mount and terrible accuracy. I was lucky enough to not end up with any baffle strikes. Now I make sure to give the mount a good cleaning every 5-600rds and we'll usually spray a little bit of cleaner in it before and after a range session

Excellent feedback - thanks guys. Today my local FFL/range let me borrow a silencerco omega 9k with a tri-lug adapter -- so nice & easy! I was shooting a combination of ammo, but mostly 115 grain american steel (brass plated) and it was still stupid accurate. I'm not a particularly good shot with an SBR, but I was effortlessly shooting 2.5" groups at 25 yards with no shift in point of impact. The 9k was decently quiet (I didn't have any slow 147 gr with me) and the APC9 ran without a hiccup. They had the 9K retailing for $679, minus the adapter. I could probably find the same noise reduction for cheaper, but I was pretty stoked on that adapter, which might be worth the extra price.

I'll check out the chatter on the suppressors sub forum to see what peoples' opinions are on buying new suppressors while the Hearing Protection Act is pending (during a new unpredictable administration) but I'm not at all stoked to go through the NFA circus again. I still have a Form 4 pending for my Omega .300 which, after an initial botched attempt at using a credit card to pay them and a pointless 5-month wait, I re-submitted in June while projected wait time was 5-months ... then at the 5 month mark it changed to 8 months ... then at the 8 month mark, it changed to 9-10 months. So I still don't have the suppressor that I bought 14 months ago.

I can drop ship you a suppressor from allen arms. It should save you some saless tax and the form 3s are only taking 4-5 weeks right now. As long as it's worth my time to type in my info, I should be able to save you a little. What's your dealer's NFA transfer fee?

The omega Ks seem great for the size factor but there not all that quiet. A couple more inches will get you the flexibility of a take apart can and fewer dbs.

I'm not knocking the omega, I'm actually thinking about one for a MPX pistol based solely on keeping it short.

The last form 4s I got back were a week ago from 6 Jun 2016. I'm expecting times to creep up until they get through the rush up to July 12th of last year. I'd wager the wait will come down significantly once they work through that mess. There's no guarantee on HPA. If you wait for that, it may be years longer or not at all.

Thanks man! To be honest, I'm not sure whether the transfer fee was included in the price of the suppressor or not - but I think their standard fee is $45. What would it cost me to get an Omega 9k and the 3-lug mount shipped? vs. the Octane 9 and 3-lug? Thanks for the help.
