Mechanic, have you looked at the Lehigh "Extreme Defender"?

It looks like it's a similar shape to the Polycase Inceptor, but different materials.

Here are some interesting tests with the Polycase ammo and some others that I found:

Part1: Testing G2 R.I.P., Liberty Civil Defense, Inceptor, and Lehigh Defense Rounds - The Firearm BlogThe Firearm Blog

Interestingly, on bare gelatin, the polycase appears to have lots of straight through penetration but a very narrow wound channel (same as the lehigh).

My EDC is a Walther PPS m1 and although I've never had to draw it, I've put over 500 rounds through it without a malfunction. My mainstay for training and competitive courses was the PPQ for a very long time because I loved the comfort and controls (and I've never had a malfunction in 1K rounds.) Then I discovered that I shoot consistently (and substantially) smaller groups with the CZ 75. So now I'm all about the CZ 75 and 97BD for full-size, although I haven't had as much practice running hammer-fired. FWIW.

All I'm saying is that my daily carry is the one I trust. That happens to be my Kimber. I can't see a reason to do something else for any other scenario. With modern defense ammo, caliber just doesn't matter that much.

I was testing a guys Kimber Micro9 a few weeks ago. I put some Winchester 115gr, PMC 124gr, and some Inceptor RNPs 65gr through it. I was testing for functionality only, so this isn't scientific, but the Inceptors recoil was noticeably lighter. And I felt I shot better with them. Micro9s are fairly small, so recoil is a factor that dramatically affects follow ups. I just felt it was easier to handle the gun.

I have seen them, but I have not tested them. One of the things I really like about the ARX is shape. So far, I have not seen any sort of feeding issues with the ARX. The XDs look like they could have issues, but that's just an initial impression. You are correct though, both the ARX and XD are designed to use hydro-static shock rather than expansion to create a wound channel.

Back on this one, does anyone have any experience with the Glock MOS guns. Are they worth the extra?

I had a slide milled to fit a Trijicon RMR and that certainly cost more than the price bump to get the MOS does.

I guess if you're going to get it milled for an optic, it's worth it. If not, then not.

Anybody got their hands on a CZP10 C? Are they on the street yet?
