Both of my XCR's are 6.8 caliber. One is a standard and the other is a Mini 10" barrel SBR. Both have run 100% (sewing machine) also.

We switched to 7.62 after the 5.56 ammo prices skyrocketed permanently. Much better.

    Terra, you run a 7.62x39?

That's a huge vote of confidence for this caliber in the xcr. Mastiff, who is selling same, can point potential buyers to your choice.

I am running a 7.62x39 11" Upper with Standard Gas System and it works just fine with known good mags. The x39 round is a great round, basically the same round as the .300BLK but at only about 22 cents a pop instead of $1 a pop! Right now Wideners has x39 for $199 per 1000! The x39 is the best round for the money!

x39 rounds are very tapered, and run great with constant curve mags like the AK47. With AR type mags, the rounds can get hung up if the mag has rough spots or if you are running jagged bullets. The fix to this is ..
    1) run smooth FMJ bullets
    2) take some steel wool and smooth out the inside of the mag
    3) load them up and then take a mallet and give the back of the mags some good whacks when it is fully loaded with rounds. This helps forms the mag better and take out the "low" point of the mag to help the rounds to feed better. MrRiggs (A forum member) did this to his mags, and he got them all to work just by doing this one trick!
