Alright, I'll outline my demands as an XCR owner:

Barrel: 6.8 SPC II chamber, 1:11 twist, 4 grooves, 8-9" barrel
Upper: Built-in QD sling swivel mounts on either side, like the MRP has. Also, flare the area around the barrel bolt so the bolt's head is recessed, or put a bolt in that screws down flush. If you have ever run a KAC foregrip, and it comes loose when you go to pull it into your shoulder, the feeling of your thumb smashing into that bolt head will make you say bad things about someone's mother.
Lower: The new one, of course, with the short stock as in the pictures. Maybe the tubes can have lightening cuts in a few spots to shave weight. Ambi Safety, Ambi Mag Release.

Sure. That twist rate with 4 grooves gets the best velocity and lowest operating pressures without sacrificing accuracy/

I would think the preference would be 1/7. Ah well.

I should add, for the benefit of all, that the new stock will be collapsible to 10" LOP, so having them on the PDW will be rather nice.

1:11 twist may be optimum for a 16" barrel, but I'd expect an 8" barrel would need a significantly faster twist in order to stabilize the bullet.

Here's a real world example: Some years ago a friend of mine shortened the 20" barrel of his M16A1 to 8" length. But, with the 1:12 twist, the bullets didn't spin fast enough, and keyholed in the target. I suggested he try again with a 1:7 twist M16A2 barrel. Problem solved.

I will just be happy to get one, I have no demands.

You know, I can't imagine what this new stock looks like. I need pictures ASAP!
