See what Gramps96kz or Navalbeaver says for the projected wait time. It might not be as bad as we think.

As another though, 12" 7.62 barrel is the recommended minimum by most suppressor manufacturers if you want to use a suppressor in the future.

Had mine chopped down to 11", even at 11" the gas port had to modified to cycle normally without a suppressor.

Don't know about the 12" but Sean has had a 10" on order for a loooooong time. I have about a dozen barrels on order that I have heard nothing about.

Kermit has pull though. I do not.

Ya, and I'd like to order 1 or 2 new 16" 556 light profiles for a standard upper....but the wait time is ridiculous at this point.

    Sean,

If those barrels come through I should have some lights. You'll get first dibs on ones that aren't spoken for...... that's if I ever see them.

why do you guys need so many barrels? One can easily go 15,000 rounds easily.

B/c we plan to own the platform for far longer than 15K rounds......and we know RA may not be around forever....and we realize that the M96 debacle could happen to the XCR. Why not have spare parts for that contingency?

I think other stuff will break long before the barrel wears down... I do see your point though.

Agreed....but I have several XCR-Ls now, a bunch of spare parts kits, bolts, buffers, trigger springs, triggers (old style that were left over from upgrade to the new enhanced ones)....I still need a couple of 556 bbls (one to cut down for my SBR) and a couple of the new one piece pistons for a mini and a stnd. upper.

That doesn't even get me started on parts for my -M.

It basically boils down to I've selected the XCR as my go to rifle....doesn't mean I won't own other brands....just means I'm going to make sure I have plenty of parts for them should RA stop making them for some reason.

I'm not sure of my round counts on various uppers though....but I know from testing....I've put over 5K on some of them in a short amount of time....hence the extra bbls.
