    7.62x39mm Barrel Thread size/ pitch?

Hi all. Silly question but I have a xcr-l with heavy 7.62x39mm barrel and I was thinking about changing the muzzle adapter to something different

Can someone tell me what it is threaded for? 14x1lh?

    Thanks!!!

It is 5/8x24 (standard 308 threading).........

I use this one on my 7.62x39 kit and very happy with the performance.

Yep, it's SAE not metric AK. 5/8-24....more muzzle devices for that thread pitch....but they are also generally more expensive than AK brakes.

Just confirming because this was posted in the XCR-L section that this is a XCR 7.62x39 barrel?

If so what Sean said; SAE 5/8-24.

5/8-24 muzzle brake fits my 7.62x39 xcr. Lots of choices, like they said.

What's your budget? For about $30 Armalite has a good brake for their .308...which is pretty reasonable for a brake....but it's not cool looking like a PWS or similar.

I'd like to be under $100 or so. Love the Noveske but without it being SBRed not sure if it would look right.

Awesome info. I was looking for this. If I ever get a XCR I'll probably splurge and put a battlecomp on it.
