    Tommy,

Its not that I'm holding out, but that I am a firm believer of "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is". I have never tried them myself, nor have I ever seen them in an XCR, so I am reluctant to say "run out & get these" unless / until I know they live up to their promises. I have seen them used on an AR15 at the local range, and they looked impressive, but I'd like to see how they work on an XCR before I really recommend them.

How about this, after I get the ones that I have ordered, I will follow up on it?

So freakin pissed!!!! Rifle runs perfect other then shit mag issues!
I gave up on my x39 kit and sold it to a guy in Edmonton. I had enough of the x39 and fell in love with 5.56! No more issues!

Soo instead of picking one of the most reliable magazine/cartridge combinations in history, Alex does his own thing and screws it up. Typical!

Ya, apparently Alex doesn't get that THE number one thing for a firearm is that it is reliable and functions 100%. Somehow he must think BHO and super fast mag changes (though I'd argue that AK mag changes can be lightening fast, provided you train for it...like with anything else firearm related....and BHO can be had on the Yugo mags) are more important.

There are a few AR style weapons that utilize an AK magazine. They are the Rock River LAR-47 and the MGI Hydra.

The new SIG 556XI can convert to 7.62X39, and use either STANAG or AK mags depending on which lower you install.

Judging by Sig's track record with rifles, I wouldn't rush out to get one until Gen 2 or a couple years have passed (after the hype settles). And I'm saying this as a repeat Sig customer; not a slam, it's the truth.

The Gen 1 556R was a dog. The Gen 2 version runs pretty well. They need to redesign their safety (extend it) to make it easier to actuate. Mark Krebs came up with the perfect fix for the problem.

Maybe Alex needs to design a mag with slightly differently geometry that works with his BCG. From what I have seen, Alex is a smart guy when it comes to design, and to prove that his stuff is constantly evolving. I have also noticed that he has worked on his prickly personality, and seems more customer friendly.
