    1. I never said a light barrel never existed
    2. I never said no one actually owns one

What I said is I never saw one (or at least never thought I did).

RA has it on their website, but as mentioned, just because RA says they have something doesn't necessarily makes it so LOL

Per Sean's comment about them looking very similar, that's something I did not know. I thought they'd be easy to differentiate between the two in that (7.62x39) caliber.

I've been tempted from time to time to pick up a 7.62x39 kit, but figure the money, figure it would be better spent on a 300 blackout since I have some AK's.

All the barrels I've seen listed for sale in the 7.62x39 caliber were either listed with a heavy barrel or what LOOK to be a heavy barrel, at least to my own untrained eyes (light was never mentioned in what I had seen).

If someone has a lightweight barrel in the caliber discussed, I wouldn't be opposed to a pic

    Make sense now?

Thanks guys. Sean was right, at least for my eyes, they almost do look alike unless you can compare them side by side IMO.

Not that it matters it looks like mine is a 'heavy' based on the pic.

I hadn't seen the 7.62x39 LBAR before. Hey Nurple, if you're following this, what's the weight on light vs. heavy, in 16" length?

I can't tell you for 16". The ones in the pic are 18.6" and the heavy is 2.35 lbs. the lite is 1.89 lbs.

Thanks. Close to half a pound -- I didn't think there was that much to remove.
