Well, I'm toying with the idea of chopping it down to 14.5 and pin my FSC to it, something I didn't think of doing with mine before I sent it out to ADCO for fluting.

    Wonder how it'll change accuracy...

I had cut a Heavy to 11.5" which I sold earlier and I did not see a difference in the accuracy but then again I am no expert shot and did not go beyond 50 yards using a 3x with eOtech.

    Maybe an expert can enlighten.

I believe it also comes down to how good the machinist is that does the cut. I used ADCO for my cut to 11.5".

If a barrel is accurate out of the box, changing the length (if done correctl) will not affect accuracy. It will only affect the range.

Don't forget that all important crown. If the crown is damaged you could be chasing a ghost looking for it to shoot straight.Actually short barrels are stiffer and should in theory shoot better...just not as far.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse.... A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.----John Stuart Mill

That was why I chose ADCO and they did a great job cutting my first Heavy. Thanks for including that info.
