I don't think I really checked out the mono on yours. I'll scrutinize the one I have in stock and see if it has a lot of slop. Honestly, I don't really see much use for them. I'm more of cross-arm, breath-control kind of guy. But then, I'm not much for bipods either. I'm more of a sling/improvised position kind of shooter. Now that I'm old and fat, I may need to learn the bench technique! My biggest problem is old-man-eyes. I've never really used glass before, but I seriously can't focus on the front sight anymore. When it comes to pistols, I shoot more by feel than aim, which is why I don't really go in for night sights. I've never used a laser either.

I've got a package coming from DT, so maybe it'll be the optic and I can get some rounds down range sometime soon.

Thanks. I just need the long one, which I managed to screw up (or rather, friend's dog thought it was a chew toy). Via Google search, Euro Optics (DTA dealer) has the replacement rails shown as "discontinued".

You splurged for their Thales scope?

Not hardly. It's the Vortex PST MRAD. To put a Kahles on there the SRS would need wheels and a motor!

Scope mounted! I believe I shall squander some time this weekend and finally put a few rounds down range.
I'll be placing an order for a few Covert length foreends and some caliber kits in the next week or so (6.5CM,.338LM).
I have yet to receive the can. I'm going to make this one an EB demo gun , so I believe I will do some sort of black/orange Cerekote scheme on it.

So a bit of a teaser for SRS owners... 10rd mags are in the works!

My rep also told me that they are working on SKUs for MDR parts kits, so hopefully they release soon and I'll be able to stock parts and parts kits out of the gate. I put a deposit down with my pre-order, so with any luck I'm not too far down on the list! I also have a couple of the OSS OTB suppressors on order, but I may be dead by the time I actually get them.

10 rounders have been shown by them for at least two Shot Shows; including a Rem 700 chassis. Personally, I'd rather see lower cost polymer mags... but, that's just hitting the pipe a bit.

Mech, are you going to Mount Carroll, IL on September 17 for the Bullpup Shoot? The MDR is supposed to be there.

Probably not. We're soft opening the shop on the 16th. I'm submitting my Kimber initial order today! We closed the deal with OSS and I have six of their suppressors on order. With any luck, I'll have some MDRs in hand very soon.

We don't have enough cash in the bank right now to stock for a truly grand opening, but we need to get it open with what we've got!
Kimber has already sent a customer my way. Good timing as I was able to get what he wanted in our initial order.
Bravo, Sean K., fmunk and 2 others like this.
