So, DT seems pretty firm on the December time frame for the MDR release. I have a guy that's committed to one in FDE .308, possibly with an OSS OTB can.

I setup dealer status directly with OSS and have 8 of their cans ordered. The NFA branch called the other day about an issue with the Form 3s. Apparently my retail location FFL somehow got a DBA on it that was the same as my company name, just without the LLC on the end. The awesome chick at the NFA branch transferred me over to my examiner so I could have her remove the DBA from my FFL so we wouldn't have to muck with the Form 3 paperwork. I know we all like to give the ATF grief, but they have always been nice and helpful in my experience. Now, if those fuck nut politicians get off their useless asses and remove sporting arms from the ITAR and silencers from the NFA list, life would be much better!

I've also setup dealer status with Thunderbeast. I still need to get some of their cans on order, but they look promising!

Kimber's rock! I love my Master Carry Pro; though I think it's destined for some EB customizations. Some front-strap and trigger guard texturing with some slide work and a battle-worn burnt bronze/orange/black finish.

Kimber has been most excellent to work with, albeit a bit slow to get some things in their inventory. I'm still waiting on K6ses and Micro9s. Most 1911s and Micro380s are readily available.

Most people think Kimber's are expensive. I usually have to explain that adding laser grips and trits to any 1911 is going to add about $500 to the price tag, so that Rock Island 1911 jumps into the $1100+ price range pretty quickly. Then I have others that tell me they only buy Wilson Combat, Les Baer, or Ed Brown :P. Go figure. I'll bet they don't complain when their $3000+ 1911 stove pipes on crap under powered ammo!

I have to admit, the Solo is a funky little nine. I took one in on trade and was baffled by the barrel flopping around with the slide locked back. For a small nine it does actually shoot well as long as you're slinging 124+ grain ammo.

The Micro380s are a dream to shoot. For a tiny little 1911ish pistol, they're amazing. I can't wait to get some of the Micro9s in.

What is the sticker price on the MDR now?

    The 5.56 version is $1999 and the 308 is $2249. The conversion kits are $749 (5.56), $999 (308), and $829 (300Blk).

hmm, if it was closer to 13-1400, I'd try one out hoping to being able to sell it if I didn't like it. I'm very curious about their trigger. If they did solve the bullpup trigger, this would save some $$ in tax stamps for two fun calibers. Hell, I'd get the 5.56 and 308 at the same time for the right price. Lol if I just sold my extra barrels, it'd fund it. I counted 12 barrels last weekend. I shoot 5.

Been watching the MDR since announcement. Lots of delays but hoping it will be as good as the SRS.

I thought the same. Looks like a flash hider is being used. A brake might help but the side blast might cause some to whine.
