    Good Inexpensive .22LR Scope?

Looking for a good inexpensive .22LR scope that I can use to train/learn with, preferably with Mil-Dot reticle. Any help is appreciated.

One thing I noticed about scopes they run the gamut and is subjective as far as preference. Just want it reliable and not have to replace it in a year, paying with first born to get it. May also look to using it on the XCR to hunt pigs...

    Thanks.

My pick would be the 2.5-10x40 Weaver Tactical. It not only has a Mildot, but the turrets are also in Mils. $300 from Midway. This scope is good enough for a regular gun, just in case you want to move it over one of these days.

Even for .22LR I do not go cheap. On one my my .22's I have a ACOG on it, for another I have an Aimpoint. On the flip side though, I have a Millet on my Bushmaster .450 :-(

    Thanks Cartman.

    WallyMart is cheap.

I was looking at the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 as an option as well. So many out there but I figure sticking with a Brand named manufacturer maybe my best bet, even though they can be higher in cost.

Midway has the BSA too which has First Focal Plane reticle, side focus and Parallax adjustment. Reviews are give and take on the BSA stuff though.

Damn confusing if you ask me and limited choice when looking for Mil/Mil and FFP.

I have a Bushnell 3200 10x on my 10/22. Has the mil-dot and target style turrets. Holds zero well, and the adjustments are accurate. It isn't the brightest scope I've looked through, but it sells for $200, not $1500.

I'd be one of those negative votes for BSA, Merlin. I've had two of their scopes and neither one survived the first trip to the range. One was fogging up before I ever got to use it, and the other's elevation knob quit working before I even got the rifle zeroed (this was on a .22).

    Define "inexpensive". What's your budget?

You can get a pretty nice scope for that money. Falcon has a decent line up of FFP with mil/mil turrets. SWFA Riflescopes Falcon Menace Riflescopes

Millet is a good option: SWFA Riflescopes Millett Riflescopes Millett Tactical Riflescopes

Vortex has $500 scopes and cheaper: SWFA Riflescopes Vortex Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST Rifle Scopes

Vortex Crossfire and Diamondback are cheaper........as is the Viper and Viper HS series.

Any power you're looking at specifically?

I like the Vortex scopes and have been looking at them. The Falcon on some of the reviews are saying they are BSA components, just assembled in England or something.

Millet is on the list as well but they say to be careful as they are made in China now and can be hit or miss getting a good one?

    Thanks guys for the input.
