I wish.... export regulated to Canada. Too bad, one more thing on my "I can't have" wish list.

I had a long chat with these fellows. That sight is small, too small. The price is excellent. They had all of their sights on one stick and I had to wait for some old fart to quit dicking around so I could get a look at them. IMHO the sight is too small, I originally thought they were EoTech sized, wrong. The images were very sharp and had excellent resolution. I also told them with a queer name like Torrey Pines Logic, maybe they should be at the golf expo. I said name it Hog slayer or Thor's hammer--not after a damn golf course. They took it well and said they are working on a name. You can't use it with a maginifier (because it is a digital screen), but they have a magnified version. He did let slip that they have a 3-8x thermal coming out, that will be priced right and will kill the competition (he wouldn't say anymore on that subject). That's all I know.

The brochure would seem to position these as more of an additional aid, not a sight.

    But very f'ing cool.

In a CQ scenario would the small screen be advantageous, since at those ranges and in the dark hits would be easier. Of course the downside would be verifying the identity of the target. I am wondering if there is a big glow from the screen in no light environments that would give you away.

Small as in half an inch. i.e. Fricking useless for anything other than very rough indication. Useful, maybe but it would also screw up your night vision.

Interesting development, not really a sight, but I can see it being used for detection ... at least the price is more affordable than actual scope or thermal monocular. Not really the same thing though.

Actually through B&H, these do have free export to Canada ... apparently. Keep in mind I have had them decline a scope sale a few months back due to dollar issues, and possible export issue that I think was an excuse. They've done it before.

Actually I take that back. It's duty free, but requires the export permits... damn fine print.
