1:7 or 1:8 nitrided match barrels.
this topic is borderline blasphemous and i imagine ill catch hell but screw it im makin it anyway. Anywhore IF you could change one thing on the xcr what would it be? For me I'd like to see the allen lugs or whatever you wanna call them have a positive lock so A. the barrel wont come out which hasnt happened to me but apparently HAS happened before; and also a positive lock would probably keep people like nutnfancy from giving the xcr such negative press about the lugs to begin with. Let me just Emphasize that I love my xcr and i really do feel it is superior to anything else out there. but this is one thing that I can hope for.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.... Margaret Thatcher,
Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.

I would like the barrel nut to be recessed, plus that whole area recontoured a bit for a good magwell hold.
That and proper XCR magwell 7.62x39 mags that don't stay straight to conform with the AR magwell.
You can get a set screw that will work.I don't remember the bolt thread pitch I'll have to ask a friend...I would like the barrel nut to be recessed, plus that whole area recontoured a bit for a good magwell hold.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse.... A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.----John Stuart Mill
The finish. There are too many black ones... I say all XCRs should ship in pink.

Want. At least something like that. I'm saving for the day... if it ever comes.
I can't think of a lot that I would change. The new stock would be great, but the current one actually works really well for me.
If the rifle weighed less than it does, that would be nice, but it's really not unreasonable as is.
The thing that I want to change the most has less to do with the platform and more to do with my financial situation.

The only actual change I see would be some manner of more robust barrel attachment method. I've never had any issues but it would help with peace of mind and also eliminate an anti-xcr talking point.
Not so much changes as improvements would include the new stock, ambi mag release, and 1/7 or 1/8 barrels.
