I would also prefer the "standard" barrel to be ~21" relatively light profile, but that is what is great about the XCR... if you want a different barrel, hopefully you can get one.

You know what? I rethought this.

I'm good with any diameter barrel that comes on the stick. If it's at least 18 inches (but preferably a bit longer), I'm good with that too.

The thing is, I can pop the barrel out in a heartbeat (thanks NY, for making me think) and send it off to be contoured if it's too thick for my tastes. In the same vein, I can have it shortened if it's too long - the only thing I can't do is add length to it. Therefore I'd prefer it to be no shorter than 18 inches. 20 or 22 is ideal for me.
Do you really think we want laws to be observed? We want them broken. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be crimes that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants law-abiding citizens? Pass the kind of laws that can’t be observed, enforced, or objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers.

From what I have seen on the Canada gun forums is there is a huge demand for this rifle. There is no 7.62 black rifle that Canadians can buy at the moment that isn't restricted or prohibited. Meaning they can only shoot them at a range which sucks. Its kind of a race, people are waiting for either the XCR-M, the SCAR-H or the Magpul Massoud/ACR-H. Which ever one comes to the plate first will sell like hotcakes in Canada. I wouldn't doubt if they wanted to put 1k rifles out for sale they would all sell in a month, the demand is that high. Ever since 92 when they took away our rights to shoot 308 black rifles wherever we want people have been craving this. The loss of the FAL to prohibited status really ticked alot of people off and so did the loss of the AR-10 and LR 308 to restricted status.

As for Barrel lengths I want a light profile 18.5 inch barrel so it would be non restricted in Canada but I guess in Canada you can add the flashhider to the barrel length so 18 inch barrel is ok in light profile. Or as an alternative a light 20 inch barrel or medium with fluting. A nice short barrel would nice to buy in a kit as well. In Canada we can put a shorter barrel on a rifle and not change the status of the firearm if you don't keep the short barrel on it for more than 30 days. I know its a dumb rule but hey I would be in for a 18incher and a 12incher in a kit.

Ya if the US state department would allow the export of these to Canada, which they won't because its not considered a sporting rifle. Damn that US state department.

I'd like a 17" MEDCON barrel standard with 10" rail.

Option for 20" HBAR "SPR" Barrel

Option for 13.5" SBR pencil barrel barrel
