Xcr with blackhawk diversion carry board pack

    Hi all!

Today I received one of the new blackhawk diversion backpacks.
It is made for sbrs or rifles that have been taken down into two parts (it has a padded divider).
I decided to get one for the XCR since it has a folder. Blackhawk says it will take long guns 29" long.

Here are some pics. They mostly speak for themselves.
I will say that I wish the bottom of the bag was a little stiffer.
The shoulder straps are also annoying as they twist easily.
The elastic straps are a little awkward but can be placed anywhere.
Other than that there isn't much to gripe about.
Unless you have perfect posture there may be some discomfort with the charging handle but nothing too big.

I went with blue/grey because I wanted to avoid the tacticool look. Friends and family members not up on gun accessories asked me
if it was for hiking/backpacking fwiw.

Here is a pic of the bag with a side-folder AK.

Here are some more with the gun with a pmag and surefire 60 inserted.

I am thinking about getting some molle mag pouches for the upper compartment .

Nice looking bag....I use a regular backpack but most of my SBRs that I'd put in a pack have a folder so they fit in larger size regular packs.

Got anymore pics of that AK? Love that forend.

    Sure.
It is actually a VEPR done up by Krebs (KV-13).
It is their own Key Mod style handguard. I think VLTOR invented the Key Mod system???
Anyways the top picatinny portion is removable. It has slots that rest in pins and is held in place
under spring pressure. At the rear of the handguard you can see moon shaped cutouts where you
press in on the spring to release the pressure and remove the upper rail back and off of the lower guard.

edit: they sell the rail separately for Saiga rifles here: http://www.krebscustom.com/products/...r-Saiga-Rifles

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. One more question: what length bbl on your VEPR....looks great! Love the sights too.

The barrel length with the flash suppressor is right about 16".
The sights are ok. Not really any good for going for groups. AK front post and AR type rear peep.
Good enough for making pie plate hits at 50yds easy and 200yd sillhouette shots do-able but I need to get
a red dot. I had a vortex razor on an adm qd mount but BOTH broke within 20 rounds.
Might try a eotech mrds. The traditional receiver side mounts will interfere with the rear sight.

Even better that it's not NFA.

Sorry to hear about the sights and mount. They look nice though.

    Great looking build.
