Milling off side rails on the quad XCR-L upper - looking for someone to do it for me

Got back to the states after almost 5 years abroad and pulled my XCR-L out of storage. Missed that rifle, but not the cheese grater rails.
Saw a couple of earlier mods where folks milled the side rail entirely or leaving 4-5 slots in the front only.
Could anybody recommend a shop which would do the same for me?
Don't want to spend $500 for a new M-Lock upper.
    Thank you in advance

Unless you find a small machine shop that will do the work, I doubt you'll find one that will take on the project. Even if you find a small one, I'd bet set up and cut time will be over $100...probably more like $200...and then you need to re-anodize or cerakote/durakote it. Just something to consider.

    Good luck with it.

Yeah, for the cost you may be better off buying this upper (so I don't feel compelled): https://www.xcrforum.com/forum/12-tr...eiver-fde.html

    Hello Merlin!
Did I really say that above????
What I meant was "You will spend that much ($500) having existing rails removed or modified"

Sorry about my absence....lots of Gun Shows and selling XCR's.....along with Family events (22 Grandchildren and counting!)
