The lip that holds back the bolt was chipped up, would not hold open on empty mag or when i manually worked it, I could file it square again and it would work for 5 or 6 mags then it would be failing again, I hope the heat treating and/or dimensions are better on the inbound one...
Welcome and yes, RA on occasion has issues with the bolt hold open heat treating. I replaced 1 at 3k rounds fired and it's replacement is up to 13k and still going.
BTW, how do you like that chassis pictured under the XCR? I have been thinking bout one for 1 of my Remmy 700s

I may be thinking the notch that is cut for the BHO release was cut too shallow, limiting the up travel. I measured 2.111" between the BHO passage....is there a blueprint of the xcr anywhere I can check measurements from?
matty86 mine is wearing down as well. I will be contacting wolverine supplies about it to see if I can get some spares.
He had a couple last week, I have one inbound...
Can anyone measure the amount the bolt catch raises? This can be measured using feelers and calipers, I'm thinking the receiver is out of spec or the BHO shaft is too short...snicker
