    A work in progress.

Below is my first XCR & so far, I'm loving it. -45 with freezing wind & it never skips a beat while my high end AR's shit the proverbial bed.

    Nice set up.

Is that a roll of TP underneath the buttstock?

    Are you active coastguard?

That was the main reason I gave up on Ar's I'm in northern Utah and rabbit hunt in Wyoming, been out when -20 and colder. I think AR's are cold blooded and try to hibernate at these temps.
Dirty clean hot cold my XCR just runs, when it's that cold a mag dump or two then holding the barrel is a good hand warmer.

    Thanks Crusoe.

It is, G.W. Bush TP. I need to get my hands on Obama wipes now.

Negative. Active resistance. Adopted the nickname for it's meaning "Always ready".

I will always keep one in original configuration but my taste has changed for sure. I have a Adams Arms retro fit piston kit coming for the new AR. If this doesn't perform well in all conditions I am giving up the platform all together. So far the POF P308 in the last picture with the XCR has been keeping up with the XCR very well. I hope it holds its own because I love it. Recoil could be compared to a hot 5.56 load.
