    Obviously...just looks weird. We get our share of newbies here that don't know which way optics or their mounts are supposed to go......but I see your reasoning in this case. Thanks for explaining.

    How is the weight for the XCR?
    I see you have keymod and heavy barrel. But I believe XCR is front heavy mostly because of the heavy barrel.

    the light barrel keymod comes in at 7.2 lbs. i would have to take everything off to weigh mine. the heavy barrel cant be that much more.

    Can't find the exact weights, but it is in the 9-11oz range. Somewhat noticeable when it is all hanging out the front. You can flute it and save about 3-4oz in weight if you get the urge. I chopped and fluted mine and it made a pretty big difference.
    Riding, Shooting, or Golfing...you pick and I will be there.

    thats good to know. Im not concerned ATM but if im looking to shed some weight ill look into that!

    I love it! fits my hand perfectly and it was only $20. there are better grips I imagine but it is nice

    updating my pics, added some holes in my homemade stock extension to miminc the gas tube vents. then I bolted on a small pic rail. tried a flashlight on it and it works quite well actually. not in the way at all and saves space on the front of the rifle.

    made a few changes. cut my homemade stock extension down to 1" fits me perfect without the fuglyness that it used to be. also got rid of the flash hider gotta take it to the range and see how it behaves.
