When the sights are mounted in the correct position I cannot see thru the scope.

I have to ask were would you put them if you had a scope like mine mounted?

Get a taller quick release mount, then when they are folded won't be in your scope, and you can pop the scope off quickly in case it dies or you want to use the irons. If you raise your scope height you will probably need a cheek riser. The strap on type that work on an FAL Para stock should work nicely.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse.... A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.----John Stuart Mill

Ya, taller scope mount would do the trick. You really want your back up sites in place and ready to go in case you need to quickly pull the scope of and acquire a target. My first thought was in a live fire situation, you wont have time to pull a tool out and place the sights on the rail if you needed them. Then there is the whole thing in which some people feel there may be a problem with "zero" retention if you moved the sights. In any case, I think the OD green looks cool!

Get a vertical foregrip, I'd put the irons on a 45 degree mount like seen on some 3 gun competition rifles. Thats of course if you don't want to go with the raised scope mount.

Put 'em both on the same side, then if your scope fails you can shoot sideways. Till you get time to swap out the scope of course. That would work right?????

My Allen wrenches are inside the MIAD grip it would take at the very most about 1 minutes to remove the scope and install both sights.

Oh why did I take the picture with the sights on the rails... :duh:
