    Re: XCR Picture Thread

Just picked up an XCR today. I haven't had it more than 6 hours and I'm already smitten.
It has the 16" Heavy Barrel; V-LTOR stock and the Midwest Sights

    My XCR with my XD.45

    Just my XCR

And finally my XCR and my favorite SKS.

    And one just for fun.

Yeah...they pretty much suck donkey nuts.* Host your own images.* Get a domain and hosting account via godaddy and then you can export galleries from lightroom directly to your server.* It's simple and cheaper than smugmug. Services like that are a scam to make amateurs feel like pros. Only pros that shoot events and need massive print order handling get anything out of smugmug and even then they are the bottom of the barrel option.

When have any of our plans ever actually worked? We plan, we get there, all hell breaks loose.

Seriously, it's not like I have any Hustler spreads on my site. The SmugMug owners are worried that someone's kid will see a nipple. I've seen plenty of nipples and I'm okay with it.

    Re: XCR Picture Thread

My XCR is almost 2 years now, in these 2 years I have experimented with various optics for it.

I really like the Millet (or other 1-4x scope) but I did not like the way it looked on the XCR. Also I needed the Millet for my other guns more.

ACOG TA-11 is my absolute favorite carbine optic, but I did not like the cheekweld with the folding stock. Also since my XCR is multi caliber, the BDC of the ACOG is pretty much useless with 7.62x39.

Aimpoint was not bad, but I prefer the reticle and FOV of the Eotech. Aimpoint is like any other scope in that you have to be directly behind it and you need a proper cheekweld. The Eotech you do not need to be inline or need any type of cheekweld whatsoever. Also the reticle for the Eotech is both faster for CQB (65 MOA ring), and has much greater precision (1 MOA middle dot) than the 4 MOA dot of the Aimpoint. All the tactical experts like Aimpoint, but I'll take Eotech!

    ACOG TA-11 (5.56x45 mode)

    Millet DMS (5.56x45 mode)

    Aimpoint ML2 (5.56x45 mode)

    Eotech (5.56x45 mode)

    Eotech (7.62x39 mode)
