    Pretty New Robinson Arms XCR-L

I bought this rifle several weeks ago. It has well over 1,000 rounds through it and I will be using it in a class in two weeks. So far I am very pleased with this rifle and the entire set-up. The Troy BUIS I have on order will arrive tomorrow so those will go on the rifle ASAP.

For those of you wondering if the XCR will digest mass quantities of steel cases Wolf ammo… It can. I broke mine in with 400 rounds of American Eagle. The rest has been 62 grain Wolf. 600 rounds may not be massive quantities but 600 rounds without any issues is a good start.

This is the basic rifle setup. The only thing missing is the Troy BUIS.

This is a shot of the new gas block adjustment knob. Very simple & fast, no tools required.

This is a crappy shot of the Smith Vortex Flash Hider. Removing the A2 was pretty easy with enough force. The Vortex went on in no time.

I went with the MagPul CTR stock. I have the commercial version. The commercial tube I had on hand is a little bit longer than a Mil-Spec tube. This gives me a little bit more LOP to accommodate my 38” sleeve length. As you can see I am also using a CTR cheek riser. This brings the height up to where it would be on an AR.

I mounted my Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 1.5 – 5 scope on my XCR. I am using a LaRue Tactical SPR mount. My SPR mount is a bit too long for the MR/T but it is what I had. Overall I love this set-up.

This is another shot of the MR/T in the LaRue SPR QR mount.

The lit reticle on the Mark4 MR/T is not visable in bright sunlight but at dusk or early in the morning it really helps. Overall the light gathering on the MR/T is outstanding. This is not a surprise to anyone who owns Leupold scopes. They work very well.

This is the BOBRO Vertical Forward Grip that I mentioned in the great big XCR thread. It locks up very solidly and I am very pleased with it.
You can’t have too much ammunition. Unless you are on fire or going swimming.

    Great looking setup man!

The bobro foregrip looks great, and I've been considering switching to it from my td foregrip-which is a pita to put on or off.

Have you shot for groups at all? Those mr/t's are great glass. I'm considering the model you have along with the ior 1.1-4 and NF 1-4 or 2.5-10 to split time on my ptr91 and xcr...

Also, get your pics into the xcr porn thread if you haven't already ;D

Gray, nice setup. What kind of grouping are you getting & have you shot the gun at night to test the VORTEX flash hider?

I have tested the Vortex with an A2 and a Phantom. Of those three the Vortex wins hands down. There are so many FH option out there that I do not have any experience with. I have Vortex hiders on a few other rifles as well. So that is what I am sticking with.

So far this rifle shoots 1 MOA with American Eagle or Black hills ammo. With Wolf it is a bit less. I have the MR/T zero set at 100 yards.

Put a vortex on my Daewoo, but haven't shot it at night yet. I'm empressed with the Vortex site add(film of the product in action).

I am still waiting to shoot mine in the dark. I think it is close to the smith enterprises. A few guys over in the box ordered these and really liked them. The only problem I have found is that when I shoot it sounds like a tuning fork, a slight pinging noise. Only the shooter can hear it. Do you guys with the vortex experience anything like that? Here is the link to the one I have.

    Michael,

That stock is a MagPul CTR stock, and if you have the folding stock adapter for your XCR it will just screw on.

You will need a stock, buffer tube, and locking nut and then you are in business. Enjoy.
    O.S.O.K.
