    Re: Hows the testing going?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not angry or frustrated anymore. Posting here doesn't raise my heart rate one bit. I actually don't give a hoot about RA anymore. I am interested in the design and where it goes, but no longer enough to send my money RA's way. I appreciate the calming words but they are unnecessary.

The issue isn't so much that RA takes time to deliver. It's is the amount of time, the failed promises and the absolutely shit customer service. Most of us here, myself included, Think the design is amazing but everything else is so avoidable and yet it continues. RA doesn't respond to it's commitments, reason or anything else. It is a shame. Quite frankly Alex is a liar. Plain and simple. What amazes me is how someone so talented at design can be so poor at running a business.

As for your comment about doing it another way, yes me too. I have five ARs purchased to do things the XCR can't. My annoyance here is that Alex made claims and commitments and people planned purchases based on those and were and continue to be let down.

I also purchased my 1st xcr for the 6.5. :duh:
IF they fail to make the 6.5 I will sell my 1st xcr-l 5.56 and get something else.
I will keep my micro in 7.62x39. It's a blast now that I have different mags for it, and I finally got my stamp for it.

I completely understand the frustration. I ordered my 6.5 three years ago. Still waiting like the rest of you.

Some months back, I asked if I could at least get my order changed to a 5.56 for now, planning on buying the conversion later. Well, here I sit, still no xcr. I can get someone to respond once every two weeks or so, but I can't get a rifle. They have had my PWS FSC break for three years as well as a check, but they can't seem to find either. I have sent them copies of the order to verify it with them, but I still can't get anything done. I am about over this. If I could get them to find my stuff, I would just have it sent back. I have never dealt with a company that has such disregard for customers on the sales side. I work with vendors all the time in my business, and I can't fathom a problem this big not being addressed. Anyone else had problems like this? I am contemplating sicking the BBB on them. I don't understand why this is so hard to get figured out.

Ah Remy, I recognize you.............. the pivot man! I was #6 in ordering my 6.5 conversion kit. Hmmmmm, seems a bit overdue, eh? At this time I have built three 6.5 Grendel AR-15s. Patience may be a vertue, but I have run out. Mickyc had hit the nail head a long time ago, in another galaxy............

I also waited for the 6.5 conversion and was ready with brass, bullets and dies. I didn't wait as long as you may have but I ordered my first xcr in 5.56 with a pending order for a 6.5 conversion that I was told it would come out in a few months. Although I have been disappointed that they haven't come out with it, I have got updates from Alex about what is going on with it. He does answer his emails and text messages and has also called me back. I may not always like the answers that I got but he did get me answers.
It's not looking very good for the 6.5 / xcr, I've been told that the 18" barrel isn't working very good. Poor accuracy out of the short barrel inside the 600 yard range. I've been told that they have one more barrel to test, but it isn't looking very good and that he is very frustrated with it.
I may switch to the 6.8 spc or make the complete switch to the xcr-m when I get the money to make the change.
Despite all the negative comments that have been posted about RA not responding to problems, I have been getting direct answers from Alex.
Yes, I also miss Terra and wish she would come back. I believe she was one of the best at RA.

Are they only having accuracy problems? I don't know much about it, but shouldn't that be a fairly easy thing to fix just by trying a few different barrels?

Do they have all of the pressure issues fixed?

    Re: Hows the testing going?

I have gotten the same answers about the barrels and bolts and such. That is all fine and good, but why are we seeing more rifles being released in 6.5 all of the time? Seems to me after all of the explanations I have read, those companies that are making them in 14 through 24 inch bbl lengths are seeing 1/2 to 1 1/2 moa. I completely get that it takes time to.develop product. Maybe they shouldn't have so many irons in the fire that all are delayed. Pick one and finish it.

From reading lot's of threads, it would seem...

and then, another year passed !

Until he swallows his pride and asks for help from AA or another 6.5G or .264 LBC manufacturer, don't see it happening.
