AFAIK they started out with HP99000000 for year 1999. After doing upgrades to bolt/trigger/hammer, they went to RA02000000 for year 2002 and RA03000000 for year 2003. I haven't seen any other SN ranges.
Based on the serial numbers of rifles that have come up for sale I'd guess just under 4K per serial number range, as I've only seen serial numbers in the high 3K's.
TTBOMK, HP receivers were roughed out by an outside source with a letter of variance from the ATF and finished up in house.
RA receivers were produced completely in house.
96's were made from 99 till mid '06.
Along the way there were a couple lesser known variants.
A stainless heavy match barreled rifle and a couple others chambered in 6x45.
