I don't disagree with your comment, but I also don't see it changing ANYTHING with gun owners "sticking with each other".

I got so fed up hanging with them (New York) that after I was offered a second transfer back to the state, I said no way. Should of seen the look on their faces when I told them I couldn't bring my guns with me to Albany as to the reason why.

There is only so much stupidity and absurdity one can take before you make the news (Tom's post #5).

Jersey, like New York (and Mass) is a Gestapo state when it comes to your gun rights, and if you're an out of stater, God forbid if you're even transporting a gun legally.

The irony is our freedom as a nation started in New England, and it may come round in full circle.

And I totally get what you're saying and where you're coming from. However, as Winston Churchill famously said, “If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

There were a few of us on this forum preparing to make the trek out to Bundy Ranch before it got resolved. Similar committal may have to be made in the coming fight over gun rights...if it actually turns to violence b/c we cannot get rights or justice through our corrupt "system"....and that possibility is becoming ever more likely especially if TPTB start kicking in doors to make their ideal of a "socialist utopia" a reality.

As you said, our freedom as a nation started in NE....it may come round in full circle and could conceivably be reborn there as well (as the opposite side of the coin you mention)....more likely, it may be the spark that starts the civil war that plunges into true tyranny as we no longer have the intelligence or moral fortitude based on principled ethics necessary for men to be truly free and as as the saying goes, "For every 50 revolutions, you get 49 Hitlers to 1 Washington".
