We're not the only one's interested in the US.

The CFR (council on foreign relations) has had a plan for the US for quite some time. Their 2 most recent diplomats(dubya and barry) both took steps to further the sitautions that will ultimately take us there.

    http://www.cfr.org/publication/8102/

from this page click on the "english version" for a pdf. read it.

what follows is the plan that suggest we.......

    - request law enforcement and military will cooperate (read "establish trinational threat intelligence center")

-expand NORAD to cover our neighbors to the north and south.

    -stimulate Mexico's economic growth

-Establish a North American investment fund for infrastructure
and human capital. With a more conducive investment
climate inMexico, private funds will bemore accessible for infrastructure and development projects.TheUnited States and Canada should establish a North American Investment Fund to encourage private capital flow into Mexico. (gotta read this section, tis a doozy.)

-Enhance the capacity of the North American Development
    Bank (NADBank)

-share resources and develop a trinational resource strategy

WHAT WE SHOULD DO BY 2010
    • Make a North American commitment to a cleaner environment (cap and trade anyone? atleast that parts right on schedule).

-establish a seamless north american market for trade (another good section)

-Establish a permanent tribunal for North American dispute
    resolution.

-Increase Labor Mobility within North America

-Support a North American Education Program

and many more. you've gotta read it to appreciate it.

the part i appreciate the most is "North America is different from other regions of the world and
must find its own cooperative route forward. A new North American
community should rely more on the market and less on bureaucracy,
more on pragmatic solutions to shared problems than on grand
schemes of confederation or union, such as those in Europe. We
must maintain respect for each other’s national sovereignty."

that feeling.....yeah....it is what you think it is....a whole lot of smoke being blown up your ass. somehow, we're supposed to magically remain 3 seperate and ideologically unique countries but agree on or share things like.....norad.....education.....border security.....commerce regulations...law enforcement...military resources...you know...just the trivial bullshit we can all easily agree on.

there's also the precursor for a national ID entailed.

for those of you under a rock for the last few years, the SPP (security and prosperity partnership) was signed behind the backs of every lawmaker, and congress back in 05. It was signed by Felipe Calderon, stephen harper and dubya (mex, can, us resp.), and is the agreement that makes possible these outlined plans.

It was also the precursor to the trans-texas corridor, which would have been the texas leg of the superhighway that linked the three countries. as well as being the ugliest land grab since we swiped this country away from the indians.

Re: We're not the only one's interested in the US.

Could we come yp with items that are a little bit current and actual

    Lets see,

CoFR for all its vaulted "goals" is a business lobbying group

CoFR has no authorities, powers, legislative authority or clout beyond that of any other lobbying group with a board of the "great and good".

The "plan" is a report from 2005 and has bugger all to do with the current sent of thieves and full of inaccuracies, for example

NORAD has been a joint operation with Canada since it's creation in 1958

The Canadian, US and Mexican military have had secondments, training exercises, info sharing for decades

Ditto the police forces of same in areas of immigration, customs, smuggling, trafficing etc etc

NAFTA has been in place since 1994

Trade dispute resolution is available and in use via GATT and WTO since 1995

    etc etc etc

So we have a discussion document from 5 years ago, which rehashes much of what already exists, is grossly out of date economically, with targets none of which have been taken up never mind implemented and without any governmental buy in.

    Next.......

"Remember children, once we have removed Mr Pin from Mr Grenade, Mr Grenade is no longer our friend"

Just 'cause I live here does not make me a septic, you muppet !

oh everalm....you knucklehead you......bless your heart.

silly me....thinking that a lobby group comprised of the wealthiest individuals on the globe would have any real sway.

the SPP is still alive and kicking.

and worst of all for me, the TTC (trans texas corridor) is still alive and well too. but its certainly not a big deal, just a little construction project that may or may not get outsourced to mexico for a couple a (145) billion. no biggie. has nothing to do with the CFR.

i mean, they did publicly scrap it(the TTC)....but really just broke the project into smaller projects and renamed it the "inovative connectivity in texas/vision 2009" so surely that it still exists has nothing to do with these little lobbyists or their old grossly out of date economical policies.

(piss on these guys...basically saying "f*ck texas and piss on your land...we do what we want...)

    http://www.keeptexasmoving.com/index...as_vision_2009

now that i think about, that link is from january...prolly not too relevant?

surely this super highway running from mexico to canada has bugger all to do with this particular vision for our country.

surely all the old stories covering the TTC mentioning the CFR like this one should be forgotten about too, because we'd just be "rehashing" to worry about it now.

As WND has reported, opposition is mounting to the little-publicized efforts by the Bush administration, aided by corporate and political elites of the U.S., Mexico and Canada, including the Council on Foreign Relations, to push North America into a European Union-style merger. Critics of the Trans-Texas Corridor see the massive project – ironically funded by Spain – as part of this movement to integrate the U.S., Mexico and Canada."
if any of this matters to anyone (and it should), there's some info on the proposed NAU here

I am from Canada and even I am against this. No money from my Government should go to Mexico for "infrastructure".

lets not get bogged down in semantics fellas.... 8)

we all know its bad....(i'm gonna resist putting the network clip here)

the trick, seems to me, is knowing just how bad it is, so we can make sure, that our efforts our channeled in the right direction.

people have got to understand that american politics/policy/direction have been/will be heavily influenced by "the bankers" or the "bilderbergs" or the "political and social elite" or whatever you care to call them, fact is despite the shitstorm of misdirection and misinformation that surrounds em, they're real and their influence is felt.

as of 05 or 06'ish Texas Governor rick perry has been keeping company with the bilderbergs often.

he was also helped facilitate the buyout (with an executive order) of Texas Utilities for something like 40+ billion to Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts a private equity firm and Goldman Sachs. Both of which are represented at the bilderberg conferences.

it just goes on and on. as long as you care to dig on it, you'll remain in awe at the crooked practices at work.

as well, you'd better believe this isn't the only pie they've got they're greedy little fingers in.

they've got their eye on iraq too. (warning....these articles are old and most likely full of washed up/rehashed ideas that have bugger all to do with anything happening now)

be sure and read chappell lawson's reply (he helped with the "NAU, How to guide" posted earlier)
