haven't remove the barrel on my xcr-l before, tried to remove it tonight with no luck
I believe I've followed the correct steps.
    bolt hold open,
    unscrew retention bolt
    take barrel out
only problem is the barrel wont budge.

heres a pic of the retention bolt and where it goes

I put it back in and it looks like everything goes back together well. I pushed the barrel against a wall to make sure the barrel is properly seated. hopefully in the video I posted above its not damaged.

Usually, if to push the barrel all the way in, you get about an 1/8" of the barrel extension that protrudes into the upper. When you tighten the barrel retaining bolt, you can watch the barrel extension get pulled forward as you tighten the bolt.

Another way to get a stuck bbl out is to remove your bolt from the BCG, remove the bbl retaining bolt and then cycle the charging handle, letting the BCG hammer the bbl out of the upper. On newer, tighter fitting guns like my 6.5G, I've had to do it.
