What parts to keep my XCR-L running

Haven't been around for quite a while and want to know just what parts I should buy to keep my XCR running. I have an early type serial no. XL007XX. She only has around 3000 rds down the tube and the only problem I've had was a bent bolt stop(which I straightened out, but am somewhat leery of) Just want to know what parts I will need to keep it running.(firing pins, springs, etc.) What upgrade parts would you recommend?

I've got common parts kits coming from RA, no solid ETA though.. That'll take care of some of the smaller bits.

With that low a SN, you probably don't have any of the updates. If it shoots fine, I'd say keep shooting it until something breaks. If you are interested in updates you've got the trigger, bho, safety, mag release, gas block, op rod and I'm guessing bolt/firing pin too. The newest BCG requires machining to the lower for the update but there's an update before that was a drop in.

If you've got the original style (tool required) gas block, I'd recommend getting a new barrel with an updated block on it. Gas ports on the original barrels were larger than current spec. If you update the gas block, you'll need an updated piston head or complete op rod. There's a few flavors to choose from on the rods.

Where do I order the parts? Does the gen2 BHO fit my rifle? Is the trigger kit the improved one? Are there any of the small parts kits left?

If you want to get them from me, send me an email at [email protected] with what you want. Kermit (gramps96kz) carrys a lot of XCR stuff as well. He's on the forum and I'm sure someone on here has his phone number.

The 2nd gen BHO should fit your lower. $115 is the "new" trigger group(trigger, disconnect, hammer). The only parts kits I have on hand are for the latest style BCG. Expecting some of the older style in the next couple of weeks.

Tried to send you a message but it didn't get through. I do want a trigger, bho, and appropriate small parts set when it arrives. You can reach me at [email protected] Thanks much for your help and have a good day, Ron.

I agree as this is an opportunity to upgrade to a 1/7 light barrel. However, the alternative is to send the old barrel to RA. I sent my old barrels with new gas blocks in to them and board member PurpleNurple installed a reducing sleeve in the gas blocks that stopped the overgassed condition I had.

I'm not sure 1/7 barrel would offer much more accuracy than the 1/9?... as most likely projectiles to go down the tube will be 55gr. And the twist rate won't matter much at the typical range distances?
