Undersized A2 Flash hider causing accuracy issues?

I bought my 2nd XCR used several months back. I haven't shot it yet with the 5.56 pencil bbl that came with it because I immediately threw in a 6.8 conversion. The previous owner reported keyholing when shooting Wolf at 200 yds. There are a lot of variables involved that might explain keyholing, but I discovered the following when my new gasblock arrived for this barrel:

The hole in the flash hider on it is small, much smaller than I've seen on any M16A2 hider. I know the holes in A2 hiders are not always perfectly concentric with the rifle's bore, but they are usually oversized to make up for this. Below are some pictures of what it had on it and below those what I put on it.

My 5.56 HBAR XCR barrel has an A2 with what I consider to be a regular-sized hole in it. Just wondering if any other owners out there have a flash hider with an opening that small. I haven't shot with it yet, but I'll give a report once I have.

Swap out flash suppressors and give her an accuracy test.

Also clean them both and remove all the carbon and check them again.

Is this the one bought from an arfcommer and he said it was 100% and then came out in another thread and said how he sold his defective XCR to some sucker?

If it is, that guy's a real ****. I hope it is just a $10 flashhider and you got a great deal!

If it's defective, Terra will sort you out.

Almost looks like there were bullets striking the rear opening nearest to the barrel crown? The hole looks chewed up on one side.

So do I. No need to send me one. If you have the chance to look, would you mind seeing if you find any in your stock that have a small hole? I'm wondering where it came from.

From what I can tell, the ragged edge on the hole is powder build-up. I'm gonna clean it off an try to take a better photo.

This is the one. In the seller's defense, he never referred to me as a sucker. He did not, however, disclose any accuracy issues when he sold it to me. I have a feeling the FH is where the problems came from.

It's freezing cold down here right now, so I'm not gonna shoot the gun until the weather is better. I'm not expecting any problems. I am happy with the improved balance on the rifle with this barrel. I was really used to the HBAR.

I was a bit miffed when ghetto revealed that piece of information too. that flashhider doesn't look right to me either, once you get a chance to shoot it try it with the bad fh then try a new one to see what happens. I bet it will shoot fine.
