Anyone here find mummies fascinating? I was browsing through some old Nat. Geo magazines at work, one of them had an article on The Mummies of Palmero. I did some internet searching and found several cool sites, but this was the best one. Scroll down and check out the links to pics on the left.

My mom was fascinated by the Egyptian civilization, and when King Tut first came to the US, se got tickets to go see the display at the Met in NYC. It was amazing. They combined the Tut exhibit with the museum's regular Egyptian collection. Never really seen mummies up close before, but it made a huge impact on me.

Yea, I would love to go there to Palermo and check them out. I have a co-worker who's son is going to be studying in Italy, I told him to tell his son to check them out if he can get down that way as Palermo is down on the southern tip. That site has a lot of cool links with some other pics that writers etc have compiled.
