In other words who makes them and how long will they be available for. Any help would be appreciated.
It's not entirely a deal breaker. If you manage to round up 10 or so reliable mags, then you're good to go. How many mags you'll have to go through to end up with 10 reliable ones is the real question. Stanag adaptations for this round has an extreme kink. And that kink is the reason they tend to be unreliable. The followers tend to get hung up because of it.

The XCR is a sound design. If you prefer the stopping power of the AK round over the flatter shooting 5.56, you might want to wait a bit for the up-coming 300BLK conversion kit. Or just get a 5.56 rifle from Kermit now so that you can get the conversion when it comes out (and use the same AR mags). No ETA or pricing info yet. Latest word is that it's in final testing.

Nothing proprietary at all. They are the AR-15 style of 7.62x39 used by most AR-15 rifles in the 7.62x39 caliber.

We have several great Dealers, some of whom who post on Our Forum that are ready, willing and able to help you more quickly than going direct to RA.

The forum rules prevent us from naming names but if you look in the Trading Post forum, you should be able to pickup on the 3 we have as members on here.
There was a 7.62 conversion kit from one of our members for sale in there I believe.
