    XCR 7.62 Conversion Kit

Are the Conversion kits available, does it take a real long time to get them? What is the cost of the kit.

I think there was a vendor selling them in the trading post as well.

You will most probably get a much better deal on whole XCR's AND conversion kits, parts etc. from a Dealer. RA has to sell at Mfg. List Price to protect their Dealer network. That's the way it is and that's the way it should be.

We have several great Dealers, some of whom who post on Our Forum that are ready, willing and able to help you more quickly than going direct to RA.

    Give them a chance,

I'm really considering this weapon, mostly because I would love to reliably shoot 7.62 out of an AR type platform. My only concern are the magazines used for the 7.62x39 (they are not standard AK mags). They seem to be proprietary to this weapon only. In other words who makes them and how long will they be available for. Any help would be appreciated.

ASC and CProducts make them. No telling on how long they will be available. The caliber in this platform is not incredibly popular....mostly b/c the magazines have had reliability issues and a gun with mag issues is basically a toy.
