Bought one of the first 200 M-96 Expeditionary Rifles when first introduced, for the eventual Stoner 63 Belt Feed Kit that never materialized. Gave up after a few years, sold it during hard times. Now just bought M-96 Black Recon Carbine HP990027XX, because I saw movement on a Stoner 63 semi automatic elsewhere. I had forgotten how nice these rifles are, action tight, no rattles except the magazine itself. Hope Mr R makes bolts again someday so I don't have to be afraid to shoot it.
So far this time I found an M96 AKMS Underfolding Stock Adapter, Piccy Scout Rail for EOTech EXPS-0 and an original Stoner 63 Bipod.
Have a custom rear sight housing flat on the way, has the side holes like the Stoner 63 but cut for the M96 Sight Parts.
Will eventually alter the factory 1:9 Carbine Barrel with an original or reproduction S63A Rifle Sight Base/Gas Block and Flash Suppressor. The RA barrel is short but still a bit front heavy. Turning it down to M16 pencil barrel specs and going to a shorter 63A Stainless Gas Tube will put her on a diet.
A M16 is a fancy city girl, sexy as hell, but a bit moody. It's all good as long as you take her to the clubs and get what she asks. If you cross the? line, its over.
An AK is a naughty girl, all in latex and with a whip begging you to be naughty. The nastier you are the happier she is. Its clear that she wont dump you, you'll have to do that on your own.
The XCR is the perfect blend of both. Sexy as hell but willing to let you beat her and filthy her up and then beg for more.
