    Far as forward assist just do a rem v2 acr forward assist when they went to the outside lock they just did this

    I don't that will work with the XCR. If we made the lug long enough where it engaged the deeper notch in the bolt carrier it would prevent you from removing the bolt assembly from the upper without first removing the lug from the charging handle. That would mean driving out a roll pin everytime you wanted to remove the assembly.

    No it does not.
    That is the downside. If you could make one with a forward assist, round the handle for easier access, it would be a great "upgrade" for the XCR.

    It's not really that much of a downside since a forward assist is pretty useless, in my not so humble opinion. But I do have an idea to possibly incorporate a forward assist into the design, but it will take a bit of testing since I'm pretty sure it's not been done before.
