    Spineless companies caving in already...

So far we have Wal-Mart and Dick's no longer carrying either any semi-autos, or just ARs.

Cerberus is selling off Freedom Group because of pressure from the Cali State Teachers Retirement Fund which had $600 mil invested with them.

And even Cheaper Than Dirt is suspending all firearms sales...

I really hope all these moves are temporary strategies to look good while emotions are running high over CT.

    Wal-Mart hasn't stopped selling AR's.

cheaper then dirt had some good deals on their website. Shame they stopped sales of firearms. So are we going to stop selling knives after the next stabbing spree?

Cheaper Than Dirt is only going to stem supply and boost demand. Prices will go up and up. Maybe that is their intention. Or, that they realized... just as I did... that gun ownership has a really bad PR problem and is trying to do something to soften that image (and trying not to appear to profit from a tragedy).

Sale of Freedom Group, no big deal. Someone else will step in to buy it and move on. Walmart and Dicks are probably the last place I go to buy guns. Crappy selection. Ignorant employees. No loss there.

Knives? I'd start with cars. Cars kill far more in a year than either. /sarcasm

Seriously, just because the herds of sheeple out there overreact to anything and everything... we should resist the temptation and not follow suit.

Sorry, it was just the Bushmaster Patrolman's AR. So it's looking like Bushy is going to be taking most of the blame for this one...guess if I had a choice I'd rather see a single company get hammered than a type of weapon/the entire industry.

WM is still selling the Bushmaster in stores. It has been taken off the website only.

There were 2 bushmasters at my Walmart last night, though they are probably gone now.

Two local shops in my area have bare walls (sold out). Employees of both said they've never seen it like so. One of them has been in business for 10 years.
