A Sig rep stated that they will be taking orders at Jan. 20-23,2015 Shot show.
And that the specs and MSRP are accurate.

    Sig Sauer--When It Counts

"IT" in Sig's tag line refers to their bank account, not something important for you.

I am more excited about their 9mm MPX, any news on it?

For these prices I think I would get an LWRC-IC.

And I'm more excited about the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 than the Sig MPX! Not that my comment is at all relevant to the discussion at hand, LOL. Apologies!

Laughing at the prices. I've got what I could ever need for now. Won't be buying for a long time.

The design looks neat, but the price and Sig's quality control in rifles tells me "nope!"

Neat, but is it still a AR based bolt? What does it do that none of our existing AR/AK/XCRs can't do? I see no justification for the high price, we're not exactly in an economic boom. I think those setting prices are a bit out of touch and I feel the same way about IWI and their Ace Galil.

The only explanation I can see is that both are trying to use premium pricing to imply premium quality (chuckle). Well, range results will be the judge of that won't it? So far Sig is failing to deliver the premium message.

Furthermore, I see these manufacturers doing something akin to a common tactic of gun-grabbers. By setting prices so high, they are making ownership an exclusive thing rather than being inclusive. As if only the wealthy have the fortitude and character necessary to bear arms responsibly. I've said it before, at times the industry is its own worst enemy. Greed will be the downfall of all.

The Sig MPX was to ship the 4th quarter of this year. But only in the pistol version and you could order it with the Sig brace. Just as the Sig MCX will ship with the Sig brace,if ordered in that configuration. The CZ Scorpion is probably going to be awesome. I need a 5.56 rifle,so either the Sig MCX Pistol with Sig brace in 5.56 or the Bushmaster ACR? I'm on the fence. The Sig 516 and 716 have done very well. I have plenty of top quality 5.56 ammo, mags, and a scope. I will have to see.
