Swapping ACR stock hinge and attaching to ACR adapter

    Hey guys,

Could someone give me a little help with swapping my FAST stock with an ACR folding stock? I have no idea how to get the hinge/spring off of the ACR stock in order to attach the ACR stock adapter I picked up here to the, uh, ACR hinge plate?

I can't find anything on youtube and I'm having issues with the search function here. I'm stuck using a cell and it's not letting the search function work.

Thanks. This frigging ACR stock project has cost me in upwards of $800 I'm pretty anxious to be done with the SOB.

According to the ACR Forum, there is a rollpin in the folding mechanism that needs to be 'drifted out'.

I will be doing this as soon as I can so it would be helpful to have someone here post a vid of their install.

Drifting the roll pin out, would that be like taking a punch and just pushing it down?

It will take a punch and a hammer, generally. If you can just push it out....it's a sloppy fit.

Just keep track of any bushings and/or springs. I don't believe the ACR hinge has any bushings in it, but there is a spring. Just put it back like you found it and you'll be enjoying your whopping $800 investment in no time.

Correct. Just the pin and a spring.
