    New MLOK vs Keymod Testing

Courtesy of SOCOM & US taxpayer.

tl;dr, keymod fails compared to MLOK in drop tests due to less material in the design. MLOK fails at the adapter, while Keymod fails at the rail.

Yeah, I read that ... you need some meat for the rails. These new light weight forends are not that robust.

I'd think you could just make thicker rails and utilize deeper/longer screws of you wanted it to be more robust. I've noticed different thickness on the polymer vs aluminum m-lok handguards.

Personally, I'm not beating my rifles up enough for any of this to matter. It'd be cool if RA started offering m-lok but the girth/weight advantage is good enough with the keymod that I'm not going to give them up.

I wonder if non removable quad rails will make a comeback...

MLOK is better. I converted my XCR to MLOK and I love it. A lot more flexibility and accessories.

    Serious questions:

Is it more flexible, IYO, b/c you can move an accessory fractions of an inch moreso than the KM slots?

What are the accessories that you can get in MLOK that you can't get in KM?

How did you do this? Do you have a picture you could post? I too want to go this route.
