So the next question for RA is when are we going to see Wylde chambered barrels?

Still haven't looked it up but this is a more powerful round like when they went from .223 Rem to .556?
Magazines and bolts are backwards compatible as well to .556?
I have both .556 and 7.62 now for the XCR.
    You're fine....it'll shoot 5.56 or .223 without issue.

They already are using them. The latest bbl I just got from them in 5.56 was Wylde chambered.

Damn, I have been out of touch.
Probably not worth the effort to re-chamber a .556 barrel to Wylde?

Not in my opinion....at all. A 5.56 chamber already handles both 5.56 and .223....so Wylde is just a slightly different spec than 5.56; probably marginally better than 5.56 anyway.

A friend and I are both seriously looking at this....but I can't help but think: it's still not nearly as nice as an XCR. Ya, it's cheaper....but I can't help but think putting that money towards an XCR-L (especially in my friend's case since he only has an -M) makes more sense.
