    How many rounds?

I've had some great 3 rd groups with my L and my M. The 4th and or 5th opened it up considerably.

    4. More often than not, when groups start to spread it is due to temp sensitive powder.

    So 4?

I'm not clear as to your answer.

I've had same, 3 shot groups out of my M as well as slightly over 100.

    Gotcha. I've seen 3, 5 and 10 shot groups....not familiar with 4.

    Thanks for clarifying.

So my L comp came with a 16" 1/9 barrel chrome lined--I can get around 1.25 moa with frontier match seems to be her preferred load. I also have a stainless 18" lightweight 6.5g kit which is a sub moa barrel. To be honest I have been so impressed with its accuracy--I basically have left it as a 6.5 dedicated gun.

My new L pistol has 10" chrome lined barrel 1/7, and I am surprised to say, but delighted to say using 69 gr match, or 75 gr Hornady black its a 1moa gun. I also have a 9.5 300 blk chrome lined barrel for it, so far at 50 it makes clover leafs, with Remington match, and of all things S&B 124 gr. I haven't shot the 300 out to 100 yet. I'm hoping for it to be 1.5 moa gun which is about the best I have seen .300 blk do, out of any gun.

I don’t think so either. It’s fairly solid and XCRs are capable of good accuracy.

That said, I’m off the the whole barrel swapping, super modularity train. I’d love to see the XCR take something like a KAC URX style of barrel nut in lieu of the single retention bolt. Yeah, you’d need to mod the upper to do so, maybe something more akin to the ACR or legacy HK rifles where the receiver extends forward yet is open on the bottom, but I think you’d gain some better ergonomics in the long run with different handguard options. My $.02 anyways.
When have any of our plans ever actually worked? We plan, we get there, all hell breaks loose.
