Selling from one state to another

Memory is hazy on this. If I am selling a serialized receiver (stripped or otherwise) from my state to another, I should be able to send to the buyer's FFL correct? I don't need go through my FFL to his? Yes, I am in CA, but I am pretty sure this state doesn't care about firearms leaving the state; only importation.

I’m in GA, and when I sold a handgun, I just had the buyer send me a copy of the FFL, called to confirm the were real, and shipped it directly to them, with attention to the buyer.

Never heard anything else about it, so I assume it was fine.

It's up to the receiving FFL tool accept it but yes, it's legal. Usually they'll want a copy of your driver's license for their book on where the gun came from.

What Nate said. Some FFLs don't accept from anyone but another FFL. JFYI. If that happened in your case, you'd have to take it to an FFL and have him ship it. They get lower rates to ship from what I understand anyway, so you may find that a decent deal depending on the shipping prices.
