    Happy Independence Day !!!

It's a shame that on the day we celebrate our alleged freedom, the government has recently proven just how enslaved we are and how far we've drifted from our founding ideals.

I plan to celebrate what we once stood for....and reflect on what we can do to restore our liberty.

May you all have a blessed 4th.

It could be worse... though in some ways eerily similar.

On a brighter note, IMSA and F1 are both back on track.

I made my children listen (audiobook) to Frederic Bastiat's The Law with me today. That's my own way of celebrating. I'm sure my kids think they have the weirdest father ever.

Kind of random, but if anyone else has kids I highly recommend Connor Boyack's book series. They are 'for children' introductions to a lot of good ideas (including "The Tuttle Twins and The Law" about Bastiat's work). My wife and I met the author at the Foundation for Economic Education conference a couple years ago, and later I discovered that my daughter's (5th grade) teacher had the series in the classroom (you've got to love Idaho).

My kids enjoy these books a lot more than the ones that I make them read with me in the original. That's probably because (especially my younger one) original texts are a lot more challenging.
