new owner of a used XCR-L questions

hey guys, I am a new owner of a used XCR-L, type one from 2007 -

quick question on the mating of the upper and lower receivers -

I notice that mine has a very small amount of play, less than .5mm, is this normal?

I don't feel any play when firing the weapon, it becomes snug when I am holding it properly to fire with tension on it.

Older rifles, that play is normal. Newer models tend to be tighter. One of the ways that did that is with the recoil assy leg. They added some extra material on the top and "custom" size it to the lower.
