Most of the guys here use Adco. http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/
I will be using them as well as soon as funds permit.
I received my first XCR today. I ordered the rifle in 5.56 from an out of state dealer sight unseen. Apparently there was a mixup or misunderstanding and I received the heavy barrel instead of the light barrel which I thought I was ordering. Rather than send the barrel back, I believe I'm going to flute the barrel to lighten up the front end a bit. My question is has anyone else gone this route and if so can they recommend someone to do the barrel fluting?
ADCO has done three for me. They do great work and the turn around is fast...at least it was.
Great, thanks for the info guys. I reckon I'll give ADCO a try. Their website looks promising at least.
Do what you've always done, get what you've always got. ----- Have gun. Will travel.
Yes, I am aware. Just thought it might be easier than starting a new thread. I know others might jump in as well.
When the difference between life and death is a matter of seconds, the police are only minutes away!
(not knocking police, just gun grabbers)
I did 6 under rail...5 past gas. See pic of 5 flutes here:

I used adco for both of my barrels. Very nice work.
Riding, Shooting, or Golfing...you pick and I will be there.
If you're looking for something different, contact Paul at proprecisionrifles.com he does some nice spiral fluting.
Long before I started hemorrhaging money for guns, I was spending like crazy on photo gear....
