Pics: Latest Configuration Of My SBR'd XCR

Love my 11" XCR but didn't like the Aimpoint and BUIS I had on it, as well as the placment of the light. I thought the Aimpoint ML3 was bigger then it needed to be for an SBR and the 120 lumen TLR-1 cast a shadow from the barrel when mounted on the bottom or either side rails. I found a front sight made by Daniel Defense that was designed to sit "behind" the TLR and Surefire 300 series of lights. With the light up front and a non-folding sight I needed to go with a lower 1/3 optic mount instead of the absolute mount that the ML3 had. Lucky that Daniel Defense also makes a sweet T-1 Micro mount to go with their front sight so I swapped the T-1 I had on my AR57 with the ML3. A LaRue QR mount would have been another option but since I am running a flip up in the rear and solid in front, there really is no need to take the T-1 off should it crap out. The little extra height the top rail provides over the side or bottom rails completely eliminates any and all shadows the barrel normally casts. The balance is about as good as it's gonna get, and the looks and function are perfect also. Now I just need the new RA stock when it comes out to complete the package.

Here are a couple of pics with my XCR's little AR brother.

no no, the pics were taken in 4-D, and our lowly computers are incapable of capturing the gloriousness of 4-D pictures.

    I retract my previous statements.

That is SEXY with a capital SEXY!!!

I was curious about the flashlight when you mentioned it and that seems better than I previously imagined!

Nice. Does the can mount over the vortex, or do you have to remove it to thread it on?

That guy, he said I should be oblong and have my knees removed. But I don't trust him, he plays the banjo.
