    Interested new buyer

I have been looking into the XCR for quite some time and I am all but sold. I did however have a question about longevity of replacement parts being sold. A class III dealer told me that parts for the M96 were discontinued and left some people high and dry that needed parts. The only question would be if the same thing would happen with the XCR?

RA did stop production of replacement parts for the M96 so that they could focus their efforts on the new XCR. However, Alex has stated that he and his company would begin producing parts again for the M96. They have been busy just trying to keep up with the current demands.

If you are worried, when you decide to make that leap and purchase an XCR, go ahead and order a replacement parts kit too.

What's in a "replacement parts kit" and how much are they? I just got a 7.62X39 XCR. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a huge inventory for the M96, but I take care of every Tom, Dick, and Harry in need of a repair or replacement part. Even if they fudged the part up themselves.

The only problem is I can't sell extras. But as far as keeping the rifles running - I can definitely do that.

They are supposed to order more parts for me, but until things settle down around here I just take care of repairs and replacements.

That said, the XCR has far outshot the M96 - both in popularity AND sales. It is a stable, reliable platform that is much easier and cheaper to build. The M96 was an assembly nightmare. Just the welding took 3 hours per gun! the XCR will be around for a long, long, long time. It's our baby.

Nothing against the M96 - it was a fine rifle... but realistically, continuing it was sinking our ship.

Thanks Terra, I appreciate the quick reply! I just about figured that would be the case, I will be putting my order in after the new year! Quick question about the flash hider. Which one of the purchase options is the "Birdcage", they both say A2, just wondering to make sure I order the right one, again thanks for the quick reply

Hey there CmbtEngineer the M96 is still a fine weapons system. That some people are pissed off because they can't hoard 6 lifetimes worth of spares is no skin off my nose. Anyone who needs a 96 fixed gets taken care of. Robarms is a squared away company. Buy with confidence.
    No,,he's chaos, I'm mayhem,,,we're a duo act,,

    always looking for M96 stuff

Yeah I am most definitely going for it, can't wait to get one. It was just some scuttlebutt from some people who I guess had a bad attitude, I just wanted to get some reassurance, and I am sold!
