Not to mention supply... RA has always had supply issues it seems. A company like Brownells won't take that lightly

Agree, but Brownells themselves are known to allow orders to go on backorder indefinitely. So in that respect, it would be business as usual.

It's cool to think that there's a new, assembled XCR ready to ship when you order. I've got a hard time thinking they're going to move quick at full retail though. Hopefully it'll build some interest.

ETA: I'm not sure the pics match the description. The 18.6" valkyrie looks like a 16" in the pic. The 16" 5.56 looks like a 9.X in the pic. The Ms look like the barrel pics should be a little different as well. Descriptions don't talk about some of the finer points (twist, profile etc). I wonder if the people at Brownells have any knowledge about the platform.

Dollar for dollar XCR is a very good value for what it is and what it does.
    Monolithic upper
    Long stroke piston.
    Ergonomics.
    Adjustable gas.
    The trigger.
    Ambi controls.
    Cam and ramp initial extraction.
    T slot extractor.
    Fixed ejector
    The stock.
    QC barrel.
    Caliber convertibility.
    No special tools.
    Standard common hardware.

Two standard 16 inch barrel XCR's break down to fit into a standard 17 inch mechanics hand tool box along with optics, mags, ammo and selected accessories.

At what price point can you get any other platform that matches what it brings to the table ?

The observant ones who realize this will be the ones buying XCR's from Brownells

    Epic!
When have any of our plans ever actually worked? We plan, we get there, all hell breaks loose.

I don't think anyone here is speaking poorly of the platform itself (or none of us would be here, still). Its the support behind it that is sorta is and isn't there.
