My kit arrived today, took it to the range after the conversion and wow!!! We have a winner. I took some pics and video which I will post later.

The conversion was easy, took about 2 minutes to do. I was shooting the XCR with a Barska long range scope, bi-pod and fore grip at 100yrds. I was shooting Brown Bear 7.62 ammo and was able to shoot about 200 rounds. I am happy to report, no failure to feeds and no failure to fires. The XCR performed flawlessly.

I had quite a group of fellow shooters inquire on the XCR and will post a pic of one of the other shooters with the XCR (south paw). The farm I went to shoot at allowed rapid fire so I put the XCR to the test and it didn't even phase the XCR.

At 100yrds, I was getting 1" groups. I was impressed. BTW, there is a significant difference in recoil between the 5.56 and 7.62 rounds with the XCR. You know you are really stepping up with the 7.62 kit.

Stay tuned, pics to come later.

Whooohooo!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I want my 6.5 kit ALEX...... I bet someone out there eventually tries a long (24 - 28inch) barrel. Then you will start seeing XCRs at highpower rifle matches and long range Hunting Adventures.

Glad you liked it. I guess I should never complain about where I shoot, I have never been concerned with them allowing rapid fire or not. :-\

Its rare to find a range around here that will let you rapid fire. I had to go to a private meet that was 2 hours away to do so.

Yeah, I was surprised too. I picked up the ammo really cheap last spring (2007) and have great luck with it, no FTF or any issues. Good stuff. :) :) :)

I am uploading the video now into Movie Factory. It takes a while to convert for upload because its shot in HD. Once I have the footage ready, it will be up. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have to say, the 7.62 barrel looks much better on the XCR, it looks like it belongs... :2cents:

Good to see actual customers now shooting their x39's....

What about the mags? Were these part of the out of spec run, or have you already exchanged them? Maybe there were some good ones in the first batch after all?

1" groups with Brown Bear, eh? How many rounds in the group? If that is really attainable I might re-think the x39 kit after all.

I only have one mag. The groups I was shooting were five at a time. I should have taken pictures.

I really stayed focused and used a bi-pod as you can see in the pic. The weather was perfect. I had everything going for me. Unfortunately, I did not take pics of the target.
